How To Use the Interviews

Whether you are teaching a course, working on an undergraduate paper, a master’s thesis or a Ph.D., or writing a scholarly article or book, the Global Feminisms Project interviews are valuable tools. There are many ways to find what you are looking for on this website:

If you are looking for a specific person, check the Interviews (A-Z List).

If you are want to look at a specific type of activism, check the Interviews by Theme page. This list identifies the major areas of activism for each interviewee.

If you want to get an idea of each interview's content, browse the list of interviews by country. Keywords are listed underneath each interviewee's biography.

If you want to search for content within a country, click on the full booklet listed in each country site. This pdf includes all of the interviews by country in a single document so it is easy to search for names, keywords, organizations, phrases, etc. 

If you are looking for videos of the interviews, they are linked undernearth each interviewee's biography on their country's site page. The videos stream on Youtube in the original interview language, in English and/or with English subtitles.

Additionally, the transcripts of all of the USA, Poland, Nicaragua, China, and India interviews in English have been entered into NVivo (qualitative data analysis software). If you are interested in using the interviews for research purposes, and access to the data in that format would be helpful, please contact info-globalfeminisms@umich.edu.
